An agreement that will go a long way: the RTL partners with P&WC
Longueuil, August 15th, 2014 – The Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) and Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC)
of Longueuil have reached an agreement in order to promote and improve the sustainable mobility of P&WC employees.
« This agreement, which will enter into force on August 25th next, is part of our Overall View 2013-2022, whereby the RTL intends to get more involved in the community. So, several routes will be added between the Longueuil Terminal and the P&WC plant located on Marie-Victorin Blvd in Longueuil. The purpose of this agreement is to offer a better service to users during peak periods» declared Colette Éthier, President of the Board of Directors of the RTL.
« This project, which is part of P&WC vision with respect to sustainable development, will, beside offering optimal service from our Longueuil plant, favour the use of public transport. We will continue to promote sustainable transport with our employees and invite them to participate in the incentive program that was put into place two years ago», said Robert Cadieux, Director of Environment and Sustainable Development at Pratt & Whitney Canada.
« In the next few months, we intend to approach other businesses as well as commercial establishments and institutions to develop this type of partnership, in order to achieve the Réseau de transport de Longueuil’s main goal of being even more active in the community» concluded Colette Éthier.
