A NEW PARTNERSHIP TO ENCOURAGE RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR

Longueuil, November 25, 2015 – With the Holidays just around the corner, the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Operation Red Nose Longueuil/Rive-Sud inviting citizens to use an alternative transportation solution instead of driving home after an evening of festive cheer.

“Whether you’re attending an office party or enjoying happy hour with friends, think of your safety and that of others by not getting behind the wheel while impaired: use public transit, call a friend, a taxi, or Operation Red Nose Longueuil/Rive-Sud!” said RTL Chairman Colette Éthier.

This agreement also includes a special RTL ride home service on Friday, December 4: a message highlighting RTL services will be provided by attendants when answering calls. RTL is also providing the use of a bus for the Operation Red Nose mascot’s tour on December 5, which is aimed at raising public awareness of drinking responsibly and avoiding impaired driving.

“If you’ve had more than one drink, you can choose from a cocktail of transportation alternatives—just think about it!” noted Colette Éthier.
