Itinerary Bus Stop

FOR SAFETY REASONS, RTL IS SUSPENDING SERVICE AT THE RUE NOTRE-DAME STOP, IN MONTRÉAL, NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF ROBERT-BOURASSA, DIRECTION SOUTH SHORE

Longueuil, July 2, 2015 – Starting July 6, the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) will be temporarily suspending service at the downtown Montréal stop boarding towards the South Shore, due to the major work scheduled to begin this weekend on rue Notre-Dame, near the intersection of Robert-Bourassa, where the stop is located. Pedestrian access to this area will be especially dangerous and traffic will be even heavier than usual.

Like the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) and other public transit authorities, the RTL will be unable to serve this bus stop during this phase of the Bonaventure project, which is expected to last 2-3 weeks, depending on the progress of the work. This decision was taken to protect the safety of riders and to reduce service delays in the sector.

As such, until rue Nazareth is reopened to buses, the RTL encourages users of lines 15, 30, 34, 38, 42, 44, 46, 47, 59, 60, 115, 132, 142, and 144 (as well as AMT line 90) to travel back to the Agglomération de Longueuil from the downtown terminal.

The RTL sincerely apologizes for this situation and once again asks its users to be patient, in particular with RTL employees, who are making every effort to minimize the inconveniences related to this major project. The RTL has also added supervisory staff at the downtown terminal to ensure that passengers board their buses safely and efficiently.

The RTL thanks its users for their understanding and encourages them to share their comments with the Customer Service department at 450-463-0131, and to consult the RTL website for more information: www.rtl-longueuil.qc.ca
