The RTL and Boucherville announce a second round of public consultations
Agglomeration rapid transit network
Longueuil, March 11, 2015 – Last December, the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) held an initial round of public consultations on implementing priority measures for buses on boulevard de Mortagne in Boucherville. The RTL is now announcing that a second round of consultations will take place ahead of the proposed project. Moreover, Boucherville invites its citizens to share their thoughts and concerns about the services they would like to see introduced in their city:
When: Wednesday, April 1, at 7 p.m.
Where: Boucherville City Hall, Pierre-Viger room
500 rue de la Rivière-aux-Pins, Boucherville, QC J4B 2Z7
Following a brief review of the project to build an agglomeration rapid transit network, set to be launched on December 31, 2016, the floor will be handed over to audience members for their comments on the service in relation to schedules, connections, and routes. The RTL’s service into Montréal is highly competitive, but there is also a strong demand to improve transportation within the agglomeration, as shown by a recent survey on citizens’ travel habits.
This second round of public consultations is indicative of the RTL’s willingness to adapt to users’ changing needs in terms of sustainable mobility. As such, inspired by the need for continuous improvement, the RTL will continue its efforts to provide an even more reliable, faster, and more efficient network.
