| HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION
Supporting the Corporate Office as the RTL's advisory authority, the Human Resources Division is responsible for organizing relations between the transit authority's personnel towards the results required to meet corporate objectives. The Human Resources Division develops the policies, procedures, programs and activities that are implemented to meet the RTL's resource development requirements through sound management principles, and to fulfil the RTL's mission.
The RTL's employees are its most valuable asset. On December 31, 2009, the organization employed 1031 people: 651 drivers, 215 maintenance workers, 75 office employees and 90 management personnel. In keeping with its mission and to ensure its success, the RTL has implemented several training programs to foster the personal and professional growth of its employees. In 1995, for instance, 11,050 hours of training were provided to the RTL's employees. The RTL operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. |
