RTL is once again teaming up with its employees for La course des Rayons de Soleil

Longueuil, April 6, 2016 – For the fourth straight year, a group of RTL employees known as Les Coureurs solidaires have organized a fundraising event benefitting Opération Enfant Soleil. RTL will once again be teaming up with its employees for La course des Rayons de Soleil.

Participants of all ages and skill levels are invited to come and walk or run the 1, 5, 10 or 15 km courses on Sunday, May 1, at Poly-Arena Park, located at 3055 De Rome Boulevard in Brossard.

"Every registration means a donation for Opération Enfant Soleil. At last year's annual telethon, we presented the organization with a cheque for $17,600. This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 to help even more sick children," says Marc Boivin, RTL driver and founder of Les Coureurs solidaires.

Les Coureurs solidaires have raised nearly $100,000 in the last three years. Their unwavering commitment got the attention of Montreal Impact star Patrice Bernier, who gladly accepted to be spokesperson for the Petits miracles walk, a 1 km course which features kids of 12 years and less taking part dressed up as superheroes.

"As proud partner of our employees, RTL is putting two buses at volunteers' disposal during the event. We are happy to encourage people who have the cause at heart," says Colette Éthier, Chair of the RTL Board of Directors.
