RTL more attuned than ever to its partners
New partners’ committee will better meet the needs of the public
LONGUEUIL, June 19, 2017 – The Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) is pleased to announce the creation of a new partners’ committee to foster dialogue with the community. This initiative will allow the RTL to learn about its partners’ issues firsthand, while also giving it the opportunity to showcase its completed and ongoing projects.
Among the RTL’s partners that will be invited to sit on this committee are representatives from community organizations, the main employers and institutions in the Agglomération de Longueuil, schools, health and social services institutions, economic development organizations, and recreation and tourism organizations. They will be asked to collaborate on finding innovative and appropriate solutions to the various mobility needs within the territory.
“While we’re always listening to our users, this new partners’ committee will allow the RTL to reach out more than ever to the community and to address shared concerns in one venue, with the goal of establishing a constructive dialogue with all our partners,” said the Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors, Colette Éthier. “Our discussions with the various representatives will help us to better identify the needs of both the population and public transit users,” she concluded.
