Sommet des Arts et de la Musique: RTL to offer free transit

RTL to act as official transit provider for 3rd edition of this cultural event

LONGUEUIL, July 6, 2017 – The Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) is pleased to act as the official transit provider for the Sommet des Arts et de la Musique (SAM) de Longueuil, which will take place in Longueuil from July 11 to 16.

To mark the occasion, from July 12 to 15, the RTL will offer free shuttle service between the parking lot at the Colisée Jean-Béliveau and Parc Michel-Chartrand; see the RTL website for the full schedule.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with this major event, which plays a central role in promoting culture, art, and music in the Agglomération de Longueuil. Through its free shuttle service, the RTL is pleased to play a part in helping the thousands of people of all ages expected at the event to get to the site easier,” stated Colette Éthier, Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors.

For this third exciting edition, the SAM will showcase four headline performances, including the Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil (OSDL) and a tribute to Stéphane Venne, on Wednesday, July 12, at 8 p.m. The event will be rounded out by a program of family-friendly activities centred on various art forms, from theatre to video games, to murals and board games. The eight finalists from the fifth season of “La Voix,” on tour across the province this summer, will also perform their very first show in the greater Montréal area on Saturday, July 15, at 8:30 p.m.

The complete programming for the Sommet des Arts et de la Musique is available on the event website.
