MICHEL VEILLEUX APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF AQTr
Longueuil, April 23, 2018 – Michel Veilleux, Executive Director of the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL), was appointed president of the Association québécoise des transports (AQTr) at its most recent Board of Directors meeting.
“It’s an honour for me to preside over this key organization in the transportation sector, whose mission is to engage sector stakeholders and to promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise, especially at a time when access to transportation is a main concern for the public and politicians alike,” stated Michel Veilleux, Executive Director of the RTL.
Mr. Veilleux has been involved with the AQTr for many years, notably as the association’s vice president for the past two years. He is also the chair of the transportation committee of the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de la Rive-Sud (CCIRS).
“I would like to congratulate Mr. Veilleux on his appointment and thank him for his commitment, which will reflect positively on the entire RTL community, both with our customers and our employees,” added Pierre Brodeur, Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors.
Founded in 1964, the AQTr has a mission to engage the transportation community in order to promote the exchange of knowledge and training in the field. Backed by the expertise of its members, it is the top forum on transportation in Québec. It has over 400 members.
