PARTNERSHIP WITH OPERATION RED NOSE: RTL REMINDS THE PUBLIC OF THE IMPORTANCE OF ROAD SAFETY
Longueuil, November 22, 2018 – The Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) is proud to support the Operation Red Nose Longueuil/Rive-Sud campaign for the fourth year in a row. To mark the occasion, on the evening of Friday, December 7, from 7:30 p.m. to midnight, the Operation Red Nose mascot will tour the South Shore aboard an RTL bus, making stops at several festive events. In keeping with this message, the RTL encourages members of the public to behave responsibly.
“The RTL is a proud partner of this campaign to promote road safety, which is one of our main concerns at the RTL. We encourage people to get home safely by using the ride home service or public transit. We hope the bus tour by Operation Red Nose’s mascot and volunteers will encourage the public to plan their outings ahead of time so they can avoid drinking and driving,” stated Pierre Brodeur, Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors.
Operation Red Nose will be on the roads of the Agglomération de Longueuil for a total of 21 evenings between November 30 and December 31, 2018.
