REAL-TIME INFORMATION NOW AVAILABLE FOR 9 LINES

Longueuil, May 7, 2018 – The Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) is very proud to announce phase one of its real-time passenger information system, which is now available for all lines accessible to people with reduced mobility in the Agglomération de Longueuil.

With this first step, RTL customers can now use the map in the Chrono app on their smart phone or tablet to track the location of buses on lines 1, 4, 6, 28, 74, 77, 80, 106 and 177, letting them know exactly when the next bus is scheduled to arrive. As the necessary equipment is rolled out on all the buses, the vehicles will begin to appear on the map as small bus-shaped icons.

“We are looking forward to the real-time passenger information system being installed on all of our bus lines by early 2019,” stated Pierre Brodeur, Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors. “Bus service will be more reliable and punctual, allowing users to better plan their trips.”

In addition to being an important tool for users, the passenger information system will allow the RTL to better plan schedules and routes, both day-to-day and long term.
