ATUQ RECOGNITION AWARD
Longueuil, October 28, 2019 – Last Thursday, during the annual conference of the Association du transport urbain du Québec (ATUQ), the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) was recognized for its work in developing the RTL à la demande project, the app-based on-call taxi service in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville.
“Congratulations to our teams in Customer Experience and Strategies, Operations (Paratransit and Shared Taxi Service), Transit Planning and Development, and Communications and Public Affairs. We’re very proud of the success of this pilot project, which offers users a new paratransit option,” stated Pierre Brodeur, Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors.
A taxi service available south of Route 116 in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, RTL à la demande picks up users and drops them off at major public transit stops and stations. It operates in a sparsely populated area as an alternative to solo driving.
