FRONT-DOOR BOARDING AND FARE COLLECTION TO RESUME
Longueuil, July 27, 2020 – The RTL wishes to inform users that, starting August 1, 2020, operations on its buses will return to normal, with users once again boarding through the front door and transit passes being validated.
Drivers will begin collecting fares again, as they did before the pandemic. However, users must exit by the rear door to avoid overcrowding and close contact in the buses. Users with reduced mobility or accessibility and special needs may continue to exit using the ramp at the front door.
Note that all RTL buses will now be equipped with a physical barrier for the driver. Masks are mandatory on public transit and in closed and partially covered public spaces, such as terminals. Fare collection for paratransit users resumed on July 1.
