IMPROVED USER EXPERIENCE: NEW BUS SHELTER ON BOULEVARD COUSINEAU
Longueuil, June 10, 2021 – The Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) has installed a bus shelter on boulevard Cousineau in Longueuil, at the corner of rue Coderre, as it continues to improve its bus shelters throughout the territory of the Agglomération de Longueuil.
“There are several homes in this sector, which is near a school. We want to thank our users for letting us know exactly what they wanted: more attractive, weatherproof bus shelters. We’re planning to add about 30 more bus shelters on our territory this year and make improvements to a number of others,” said Jonathan Tabarah, Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors.
Indeed, the RTL will continue to improve its user experience by adding some 30 bus shelters this year and by updating another 30 existing ones.
We wish to thank our partners for funding these projects. The shelter at boulevard Cousineau and rue Coderre was made possible by funding from Ville de Longueuil. The replacement bus shelters were made possible by funding from the Government of Canada, through the federal Gas Tax Fund (GTF), and from the Québec government, through the additional registration fees charged on vehicles with large-cylinder engines, as well as through the Fonds des réseaux de transport terrestre (FORT).
