RTL improves service for new school year

Longueuil, August 18, 2021 – The Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) is announcing today that new services will take effect starting August 23 to better serve Cégep and university students, as well as employees returning to in-person learning in the coming weeks.

“Not only will we bring back certain lines, we will also add two new lines for the start of the school year in order to meet the needs of users, employers, and schools in the Agglomération de Longueuil. We are hoping these improvements will encourage citizens to make environmentally friendly decisions when it comes to their commute. Ridership has been up in recent months, and we feel the new school year will be a good one for our users,” said Jonathan Tabarah, Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors.

More specifically, the main objectives of the service improvements are to:

  • Prepare for the gradual reopening of downtown Montréal (lines 22, 30, 33, 86, 87, and 93);
  • Support the revival of economic activities throughout the Agglomération (lines 14, 35, 39, and 442)
  • Respond to new needs in the Agglomération’s industrial parks (lines 21-121, 85, 98, 128, and 185);
  • Improve school transit services with new integrated routes (lines 671, 672, 673, 675, 676, 678, and 697).

We encourage our users to consult the maps and schedules for all our lines using the search tool on our website or the Chrono, Google, or Transit apps.

The following lines will be in service as of August 23:
