Evacuation drill at Longueuil terminal – Université-de-Sherbrooke and 100 place Charles-le moyne
As part of the Plan de sécurité incendie for the Longueuil terminal, the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) will participate in an evacuation drill at 100 place Charles Le Moyne and at the Longueuil campus of Université de Sherbrooke on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at around 10:30 a.m.
The drill will be conducted in collaboration with all partners involved, namely Ville de Longueuil, the Agence métropolitaine de transport, the Société de transport de Montréal, and Université de Sherbrooke.
During the drill, which will last approximately 30 minutes, everyone present at the Longueuil terminal will be evacuated, and access to the terminal and to the building at 100 place Charles Le Moyne will be prohibited; this includes the bus boarding areas, businesses, offices, and the metro station. The drill will serve to confirm the effectiveness of the existing evacuation plan, thus ensuring the safety of bus and metro commuters, and staff and students at Université de Sherbrooke.
To offset any delays caused by the evacuation drill at the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station (yellow line), the RTL will provide a shuttle service to the Papineau metro station (green line).
The RTL thanks its riders in advance for their patience and understanding, and assures them that every effort will be made to minimize the impacts of the drill on its services.
In case of force majeure, the drill will be postponed to August 2nd.
